Do you want to know the real-time status of your gensets anytime, anywhere? Do you want to start and stop your gensets remotely? The GCU 4K generator controller can be easily accessed through a network connection. This is our newest development at MTS Power Products: A generator controller system known as the GCU 4K generator controller.
The GCU 4K generator controller is suitable for all types of gensets on the market today. Whether you have a J1939 electronic engine or a non-electronic control, it can be used on all models by simply downloading the free General Call app for smartphones tablets and then connecting the control module to the internet you can remotely monitor genset parameters and status in real time.
There are three connection methods for our generator controller and they are listed as follows:
- Wi-Fi: Through any local Wi-Fi connection if available.
- Ethernet Cable: Through a dynamic IP network connection.
- Mobile Router: If neither of the previous two is available then it will be necessary to install a mobile router on the genset.
If an event like an over temperature or low fuel condition occurs the generator controller will immediately send a push notification to the mobile device allowing you to know the status of the genset anytime and anywhere. Unlike the past, there is no need to worry if the genset will operate normally during storms or power outages with no way to confirm the status of the unit on site. There is already an ideal solution for managing these situations.
If a gensets position is shifted by lifting the GCU 4K generator controller will immediately send a push notification to alert the user. The GCU 4K generator controller also provides GPS location service so you can know the current position of all gensets, displaying multiple units simultaneously for convenient management. Different colors are used to indicate the status of different gensets on the map display. By on a genset icon the user can connect the mobile app to that genset for control or monitoring.
If you want to start a genset remotely it, it is very easy. Just open the General Call app and press manual. The generator controller will broadcast an engine start warning before cranking as part of the start procedure in order to avoid danger to personnel. The generator controller can also perform on-site start and the GCU 4K controller has a variety of display streams such as the main screen, power parameter screen, an event log, and graphic displays of voltage and current levels. All meters on the screens can be changed.
